History

Crooks Craft & Supply Co. began as Crooks Shoe Shop between 1955-56, and was founded by Eddie Crooks, in Lexington, NC. 

Tony Skeen, our current master cobbler, who some call the best around, owned and operated Crooks for over 25 years. For several generations, customers both young and old, have trusted Tony with the repairs and restoration of some of their most cherished pieces.

During summer 2018, Jay Scott started as an apprentice under Tony, and in January 2019 started the process of transitioning Crooks Shoe Shop into Crooks Craft & Supply Co. Expanding the 60 year old shoe repair shop, into a leather goods, apparel, footwear and accessories store.
